Revive Old Furniture to Bring New Life to your Home

Working on whole house projects brings me closer to my clients and we end up learning a lot from each other. One of our favorite new sayings at KRID comes from a very dear client who was just a pleasure to work with. They had a chair that they wanted to keep in the family and we said “absolutely, we can reupholster it and it will work great in your house.” This chair, lovingly known as “Uncle Bob” is now a new adjective for our team.  It was handed down to my client from his Uncle Bob, clearly with fond memories.  Anytime a new or existing client asks to keep an heirloom piece, we refer to it as….you got it….an “Uncle Bob.”

Do you have one? Is there that one piece of furniture you can’t let go of but is in desperate need of a revival? Why not take the new year and re-evaluate your home’s interior and take note of how you can refresh while not having to break the bank.  I’ve seen so many amazing transformations from what once looked like a dowdy piece ready for the curb.

Here are some examples of projects we worked on where we brought old furniture back to life with a little paint or with new fabric.
